INTERNSHIPS AND MEDICAL ROTATION PROGRAMS

The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS) is one of the premier forensic science agencies in the country and is the only accredited forensic science laboratory system in the state of Alabama. ADFS is committed to our mission - the application of science and medicine to the purposes of Justice, all while focusing on our four core values: service, integrity, respect and quality.

The ADFS Internship Program provides college or university students with an opportunity to gain practical experience in their field of study. Undergraduate or Graduate students studying in the fields of Medicine, Nursing, Chemistry, Biology or other Forensic Science related fields may apply for an internship with ADFS. Acceptance into the program depends on the availability of positions, the student's qualifications and the necessary resources.

If you are interested in a possible internship with ADFS and you are currently enrolled in a college/university and are matriculating in the field(s) of Medicine, Nursing, Chemistry, Biology, or other Forensic Science related field, you may send an email to Internship@adfs.alabama.gov. Please include the following information in your email request:

  • Full Name
  • College or University
  • Course of Study
